the crate is going to be 50x50x56cm, so not too big. it'll weigh less than ten kilos.

i always rush things on the phone, so just wanted to check that i gave a proper sense of the work - the container, as a document of the 'event' via the burn marks / ash etc. is as much the object of the work as the debris alone was in our previous proposal. this extra element i think brings another dimension to the idea of the drawing of how to deal with its temporality, how to limit / package / display it, and how the object attempts to hold its narrative, as any artwork has to... so as a response to the distance between us and the show it is quite deliberate...

can't wait to see what we end up with!
